Trek America - Time University Brief

For a University brief, we were given the subject of 'time', recording time and how to document time. We were given the example of a calendar. I at first thought of making a calaendar that's always a diary, so you plan your days and then talk about them afterwards. However, in August, I'm going to be going on a Trek America holiday with two of my friends and I really want to document my time while I'm there. So I've taken this brief as an opportunity to create myself a little diary to take with me to record my thoughts. As the project was quite a quick turnaround and with having several projects on the go at once, I haven't time to get this professionally printed before the deadline tomorrow. However, here is my little diary ready to be printed and memories to be recorded

University

I've been juggling my University work and Freelance work a lot recently, and there's a lot of Freelance work on here, so I just thought I'd show some of my photography work that I've currently done for a project about the city. I will eventually be making a zine with a fashion/city theme. I'm focusing on the run-down bits of the city, linking it to recycling clothes. The theme is really about contrasting run down, dirty bits of the city with bright, beautiful things. I can't wait for it to start pulling together.

Frankie Essex Hair - Press Day

I designed a banner a while back for the Frankie Essex Hair Press Day, and unfortunately it didn't take place in time to be on The Only Way is Essex.

(Original Banner)

The day was a great success and I've got some images to share with you that show the my banner. (Photography of the event is not mine and all watermarks remain)

Ok! Magazine have done an article on the day

Frankie Essex Hair

Frankie Essex Hair packaging has arrived and the first orders are being shipped. My first glimpse of the packaging in person. Exciting! I'm very happy with it.

University - Publication (Junk)

My personal project at University has been put on the back burner a little recently, as I've been busy with a collaborative University project instead which has to have a quite fast turn around. We've had just over a week to come up with a newspaper type publication that needs to be printed by Thursday. It's still in the early stages, but I've had to make a few illustrations from photos that the Photography team have taken, so I thought I'd share them with you. The theme is 'Junk', and I was just given some unedited photographs of various bits of rubbish, and so here's what I made today:

Frankie Essex Hair

I'm happy to announce that the Frankie Essex Hair range website is officially LIVE today, (www.frankieessexhair.co.uk) and I can now share my work with my blog. Now I must say, the logo WAS NOT designed by me, I was given it and asked to go off that for the designs for the website and packaging. I've taken a few screen shots, as the website features some banners that I have designed.

Here are just some of the banners that I made for the website (WARNING: Very pink and Very girly). I made all of the banners on there that are in this style:

These banners were put on the website which was launched today, I'm so excited that my work has already been seen by thousands of people!

Tune into TOWIE tonight (Sunday 24th Feb - ITV2 10pm) and see Frankie wearing some of her hair pieces and follow her on twitter for all the info and gossip (@frankieessex). I have really enjoyed this project, I've been so lucky to have been apart of it.

I've also been asked to design a banner that will appear on TOWIE in a few episodes time, so when I find out which episode it is, I'll do another post.

Frankie has even put this photo as her Twitter Profile Picture!

Today is a proud day as second year Graphic Design student!
