Frankie Essex Hair

I'm happy to announce that the Frankie Essex Hair range website is officially LIVE today, (www.frankieessexhair.co.uk) and I can now share my work with my blog. Now I must say, the logo WAS NOT designed by me, I was given it and asked to go off that for the designs for the website and packaging. I've taken a few screen shots, as the website features some banners that I have designed.

Here are just some of the banners that I made for the website (WARNING: Very pink and Very girly). I made all of the banners on there that are in this style:

These banners were put on the website which was launched today, I'm so excited that my work has already been seen by thousands of people!

Tune into TOWIE tonight (Sunday 24th Feb - ITV2 10pm) and see Frankie wearing some of her hair pieces and follow her on twitter for all the info and gossip (@frankieessex). I have really enjoyed this project, I've been so lucky to have been apart of it.

I've also been asked to design a banner that will appear on TOWIE in a few episodes time, so when I find out which episode it is, I'll do another post.

Frankie has even put this photo as her Twitter Profile Picture!

Today is a proud day as second year Graphic Design student!

All Work and No Food

I've been so busy recently, I have a million projects on the go but I'm really grateful for it, plus I had the longest Christmas holidays EVER, so it's about time I had lots to do. I've been given more projects for Beauty Works and another for Frankie Essex. I've been asked to design a banner that will appear in a TOWIE (The Only Way is Essex) episode, how exciting, my work - on tele! I'm unsure of when this episode will be aired yet, but I'll post up when I know. I've been that busy, I've been out of food since the weekend so I've been living on scraps and the left over Dominos my boyfriend treated me to (oh student life), however I finally got the time after university today to go and stock up (need that brain food!)

I've been working very hard the last few days making a catalogue for the Beauty Works new catalogue that they're bringing out to showcase their products. It's not yet finished, I'm just taking a little break to update my blog, as it's been a while! Here's a little peek of the front cover:

Once this project is done (probably in the next few days), I can really crack on with producing my work for university - a project about fashion/pattern/the city/wearable magazines. I have lots of ideas for some lovely collages to start the thing off and will hopefully be posting them very soon!

University vs. Fashion

I've started off my new University brief, and I've (of course) decided to focus on fashion. Naturally, I've been asked to narrow this down and choose a particular theme in which I want to work with. I'm not thinking too much on my final piece right now and it's very early on in the project. I've decided to study pattern, and my theme will be 'City'. I'll obviously think up a more exciting name for my collection of work after I've started producing the physical work on it. For now though, I've been lucky enough to visit my favourite sites for research and I've come across some BEAUTIFUL designs that I just have to share with you. These are the favourites, and pieces that I'll be taking great influence from for module 5.4:

NO IMAGES ARE MY OWN.

Soon there'll be evidence of my work, I just wanted to share these building blocks, so you can see the designers that are influencing my project.

Work Experience featuring: Beauty Works / Frankie Essex / Serina Sophia

[WARNING - TEXT HEAVY POST!]

I've been so busy over the last week I've not even had chance to THINK about this blog, never mind keep it updated, so I apologise for the lack of posts recently. On the upside of being so busy though, I have SO much to say.

For the last week, I've been doing a little bit of work experience, and I've just created the packaging for Frankie Essex's new hair range that will be in shops near you in the near future, (Yes, Frankie Essex from 'The Only Way is Essex'). I couldn't believe my luck when I was asked to design it, I was SO excited! I can't share it with you just yet, but nearer the time of its release I'll post a sneak peek or two, but just know it's VERY pink and VERY girly.

I've also done some more packaging with Beauty Works (beautyworksonline.com) who are bringing out some beautiful new products, but of course we wouldn't expect anything less from them, their hair is second to none.

During the experience I helped with the Serina Sophia Look-Book too!

Now let me talk about Serina Sophia for a little minute. This company is absolutely wonderful. Their dresses are SO stunning, they're going to be absolutely huge and you heard it here first. They used to be Diva Sophia, and are currently in the process of changing their website etc so keep an eye out for when they launch the new website. For now though, 'follow' them on Twitter for updates, (https://twitter.com/SerinaSophia) they're a brand you don't want to miss out on. Here a few of their products, just so you know what to expect:
My personal favourite Is the Adrianna Dress, it looks AMAZING on. Going to be a huge seller for the Summer! Don't forget to follow them on Twitter!

So because of all these amazing experiences I've been lucky enough to have recently, I've not had any time at all really to work on my magazine. I had been working on it the days running up to the work experience so I'll share with you what I'd done. I'm hoping to work on this magazine for my new university brief which we are getting today, so I'll have loads of work to show you on it soon.

If the new brief is appropriate today, I'll hopefully be working on this magazine a lot and will get to do some screen printing done and it won't just be a straight-forward Photoshop/In-Design based magazine. I want to really get my Graphic Design and Fashion style across in this project and I plan to work really hard on it.
